Open Studio Sessions

This is the opportunity for Bareclay potters to come in and practice on your own, work at your own pace and gain skills.

Step one: Take a regular 3 week  Bareclay class.

You must have a knowledge of the studio layout and where tools are located. Open Studio artists must be able to set up, use equipment and clean up within the allotted time periods.

Step two: Buy a punch card and register for an Open Studio

Each Open Studio session is $30.00. Artists must have taken one class at Bareclay in the past and must be able to set up, clean up and finish session within the allotted time. Failure to do so can result in loss of studio privileges. There is NO INSTRUCTION or storage with Open Studio. Artists must take work with them.

Clay pugs (a pug is a prepared lump of clay) are available for purchase and artists are not allowed to bring in outside clays. Pugs are $15 for a standard 4.5 pounds of reclaimed pugged clay. This price includes firing and glazes.

 

Please print your punch card and bring it to the studio when attending. Your instructor will check it for you. Open studio will typically be held on during unsold regular class slots. Lisa will also add  last-minute class openings where the punch card can be used. Students MUST PRE-REGISTER for these sessions at Bareclay.com. NO WALK INS. Punch cards expire 6 months from purchase date.
