Bareclay specializes in Ceramic Education in the Columbus area. Classes consist of potter's wheel, handbuilding and glazing techniques. Class sessions are three weeks in duration and are open to people of all skill levels. If you are interested in taking a pottery class at Bareclay, please email Lisa for a current class schedule and registration form.
Pottery classes at Bareclay are small (maximum of 15 students per class). This class size provides individual attention and work time. Classes fill up very quickly, so please respond as soon as possible!

Special Bareclay Workshop:
Learn Glazing Techniques
WHEN? Tuesday, February 28, 2012. 6:30-8PM
COST? $35 per person. MUST PRE-REGISTER and PREPAY. Includes bisque tile, bisque plate, glazes and firing.
WHERE? Bareclay Studio. 1469 Showcase Dr. Columbus, Ohio 43212.
Class description: Have you been making great pots and then putting awful glaze on them? We ALL start out that way. But never fear! This one night workshop will enlighten you about the mysteries of perfect glazing.
We will cover simple glaze combinations, use of the slip trailer in glazing, use of wax resist and multiple firing techniques.
Students will be given a bisque fired tile as well as a bisque fired plate on which to work. All pieces will be fired and picked up my students.
Instructor: Lisa Bare Culp is a clay artist and the owner of Bareclay. She is also the Potter in Residence for a glaze company in Hilliard, Mayco Colors.

Bareclay Policies:
*New Students must PREPAY.
*NO REFUNDS for tuition. If you sign up for a class and cannot do it for any reason, tuition is forfeited.
*Clay fees are based on average use. Additional clay can be purchased in studio for larger projects.
*Visitors are free if they are observing ONLY and for ONE TIME only. Return visitors MUST pay for classes. Classes are $35 each. Visitors who work in clay MUST pay every time, even the first time they attend.
*Make-ups: As a courtesy, Bareclay offers each student ONE FREE makeup PER SESSION. If you miss a class, you may come to another night WITHIN that session. Makeups are not to be transferred into the following session. Makeups are also not to be credits applied to future session tuition unless specified by Lisa. (Example: If you are unable to do your courtesy makeup within your current session, you can not use it as a credit for the next session and just pay for two classes instead of three).
